Two Englishmen, An Aussie & A Canadian Walk Into A Bar...

One of the questions every Grill Guest gets asked is how they got to where they are.

That's how I know the next installment of Grill The Marketer is going to be a doozy!

You'll hear from Matt Oakley, CSO at 303 MullenLowe who's releasing 'The evolving role of the CMO - a Western Australia perspective' and Nikki Atack, a senior marketer who oversees sales, marketing and customer experience at ASX-listed Pentanet.

More On Matt Oakley

Matt’s the Chief Strategy Officer at 303 MullenLowe where he can often be found focusing and inspiring the creative work that drives behaviour change and effectiveness for the likes of Lotterywest, Department of Premier and Cabinet, Netball Western Australia and most recently The Push-Up Challenge.

A relative newcomer to WA, his time prior to arrival saw him working across the globe with the likes of Carlsberg Group, Nestlé Group, Mars Wrigley and Mondelez.

He’ll soon be releasing ‘The evolving role of the CMO - a Western Australia perspective’ a first of its kind focused look at the challenges facing marketers in the state he now calls home, and at The Marketer, we've always been about championing local marketing people and campaigns.

Our state has unique challenges regarding marketing; it has it's own ecosystem in terms of employment, a small 'top end' of town, and covers a rather large geographical area.

Introducing Nikki Atack

Nikki has been pestered to be on the Grill for some time and luckily for us she was recently on stage for AdNews Live and didn't hate it, so she finally gave in to my nagging.

MILLENIALS - PLEASE NOTE: She's been in Harry Potter.

Ok, back to the work stuff:

Nikki Atack is Chief Marketing & Experience Officer at Pentanet, where she leads the marketing, sales, and customer service teams across the company’s local ISP business and its national cloud gaming platform, GeForce NOW Powered by CloudGG.

A seasoned marketing specialist, Nikki has over 25 years’ experience across UK and Australian markets. Her career spans a wide range of industries including health, consulting, public sector, financial services, FMCG, tourism, and creative services.

She's previously held senior roles at Deloitte Digital, HIF Australia, HBF, Fogarty Wine Group, and Milne AgriGroup and is an Australian Marketing Institute Certified Practising Marketer.

Nikki has also contributed to the industry through a volunteer advisory role with the Indigenous Emerging Business Forum, and served five years on the ADMA WA Events Committee.

If you're unfamiliar with the format - we let you drive. There's no slides, no sales, just passionate professionals with opinions, willing to put themselves in the hot seat to see what questions you come up with.

There's also plenty of time to network. And cool, fun people to network with - all the way from current students to retired academics and everything in between. Oh and we eat pizza, so that's rad.
