Marketing Students Grill Industry Experts in a Lively Q&A Session
Curtin Marketing Association (CMA) recently hosted Grill The Marketer: Student Edition, in partnership with The Marketer.
This special edition took inspiration from the original Grill The Marketer event, giving students and industry guests the opportunity to network and ask their burning questions to a diverse panel of marketing experts, including Carmelita Levene, Hannah Whittaker, Ian Phau, Matthew Gherardi, and Angela Tong—with MC Aimee Glossop guiding the discussion.
The Q&A discussion covered a wide range of topics, from career development and industry trends to imposter syndrome and the AI landscape. Panellists emphasised the value of fostering genuine connections, building an authentic personal brand, and the importance of adaptability in an ever-evolving industry.
“Being the Association's flagship and final event for 2024, this event, all in all, embodies the very heart of our mission since our relaunch earlier this year: To foster meaningful connections between students and industry, and to empower students with experiences and opportunities to confidently navigate the world of marketing.”
Said Sean Palm, President of the Curtin Marketing Association.
“Taking an event they love and tailoring it into something their own that offered such value for students was really cool, and they executed it so professionally.”
Said Carmelita Levene, Co-Founder of The Marketer.
