Leading creative content and custom publishing agency Heads & Tales announced it has acquired boutique design agency Holy Cow! Creative – a move that will significantly expand its Sydney footprint.

Founded in 1995 by Melissa Webber, Holy Cow! brings deep specialisation in the health, wellbeing and retail sectors to the Heads & Tales team, along with an impressive client roster that includes global brands Galderma and Candela, as well as St Vincent’s Health Australia, NSW Health and Supa Centa Moore Park.

Rod Mooseek, Managing Director of Heads & Tales, said:

“Melissa has built an incredible agency that has delivered high-quality creative services for over 30 years. It’s a reputation and pedigree that we’re proud to welcome into Heads & Tales and fuse their brand of purpose-led, conscious creativity with Heads & Tales’ smart storytelling approach.”

The partnership will increase Heads & Tales’ on-the-ground presence in Sydney and broaden the specialist skills and services it offers, including brand advisory, creative services and, of course, design.

Melissa Webber added:

“As a passionate designer, I was immediately attracted to the breadth of services Heads & Tales offers – across content marketing, digital, social and custom publishing. I’m excited to immerse myself in this world and deliver this expanded service offering to our clients.
“Culture was another driver. From the get-go, I’ve been driven by a desire to create a great culture in my agency, and I believe I’ve achieved that. Rod and I are very aligned, and I’m confident this will be a strong partnership – both creatively and culturally.”

Holy Cow!’s clients will benefit from the continuity of working with their existing team, while also gaining access to the broader Heads & Tales and Hardie Grant Media network. Webber will continue to lead the Holy Cow! division as Managing Director.

This latest acquisition follows a period of strong activity for Hardie Grant, including the appointment of Janey Martino and Shirley Chowdhary to its Board last month, and Hardie Grant Media’s acquisition of creative communications agency Keep Left in August 2025.

Craig Somerville, Group Managing Director of Hardie Grant Media, said:

“We continue to look for opportunities to grow and evolve the network to create the best integrated marketing offering available to clients anywhere in Australia.”

With Holy Cow! onboard, Hardie Grant Media now comprises 135 staff across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

Heads & Tales’ sister agencies include Reload Media, Tide Communications, Keep Left and Sherpa.

Holy Cow! was advised by Agency Futures.
