At a long lunch in Sydney's iconic Ivy Ballroom on 15 August, Bonfire won the Agency of the Year title at the Australian Marketing Institute (AMI) Marketing Excellence Awards.

The win celebrates Bonfire's leadership in performance digital marketing and consistently delivering measurable outcomes for Australian brands. It marks Bonfire's second national title, following its first in 2020, and affirms Bonfire's place among Australia's leading independent agencies.

Headquartered in Perth and with a presence in Melbourne, Bonfire partners with organisations nationwide. The team applies a data-led approach and deep expertise in Performance Media, SEO, and digital strategy.

In 2025, Bonfire added a creative division, combining data and creativity under one roof to produce performance-driven work.

"It's been a tough 12 months for our industry and the wider Australian economy, making this award especially meaningful. Not because we've done better than other agencies, but because it acknowledges the resilience and determination of our team.
They've put in the hard yards, and they are the foundation of our success,"

said Rene Le Merle, General Manager – Growth at Bonfire.

The AMI Marketing Excellence Awards rank among the industry's most prestigious, highlighting marketing strategy, creativity, and performance achievements.

The 2025 Agency of the Year finalists included Atomic 212º, Thinkerbell, G Squared, and Rocket Agency.

Alongside being named Campaign Brief WA Digital Agency of the Year earlier in 2025, this national recognition underscores Bonfire's role in shaping the future of performance marketing in Australia.
