Atack's appointment brings Western Australia back to the Board
Perth-based marketing leader (and our very own Grill the Marketer alum) Nikki Atack, has been made a welcome addition to the Australian Marketing Institute (AMI) Board of Directors.

Her appointment marks Western Australia’s return to the AMI board after several years of absence, strengthening the Institute’s connections to a vibrant and growing community of marketers who are effecting innovation beyond Australia’s east-coast hubs.
She brings to the role more than 25 years’ experience in marketing and customer experience strategy across the Australian and UK markets, and a portfolio spanning telecommunications, insurance and financial services, FMCG, public sector, higher education, and non-profit.
Currently, Atack leads integrated marketing, sales, and customer experience functions for Perth-based telco, Pentanet (ASX: 5GG) as Chief Marketing & Experience Officer.
“I’m thrilled to be joining the Board of Australia’s leading professional body for marketers, and proud to represent WA at a national level,”
said Atack.
“Since 1933, AMI has been championing, supporting, and guiding marketers across the country. I’m looking forward to contributing to that legacy and helping shape the future of our profession.”
The announcement comes during a period of renewal for the AMI, with leadership evolving to reflect the changing face of Australia’s marketing community.
The change sees Kristie Atkins appointed to Chair as well as the addition of Chelsea Wymer, CMO at Chartered Accountants ANZ, and James Keeler, Founder & Director of Mowbray Park Consulting, to the cohort of new Directors. Meanwhile, the organisation farewell’s outgoing Chair, Andrew Thornton, after 7 years of leadership with the Board.
