Samsung launches Galaxy Z Fold7, Galaxy Z Flip7, and Galaxy Watch8 series in Australia, backed with a nationwide integrated marketing campaign
Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. announced that Galaxy Z Fold7, Galaxy Z Flip7, Galaxy Z Flip7 FE, Galaxy Watch8 and Galaxy Watch8 Classic are now widely available in Australia. Record-breaking sales during the pre-order period have highlighted Australians’ appetite for foldable devices.
The launch of Samsung’s latest foldable phones and smartwatches comes as research commissioned by Samsung Australia reveals almost half of Australians surveyed claim to use their smartphones to multitask more (45%) over the past two years, and almost half of Australians claim that cost (46.5%) and time (46.9%) are the key barriers to achieving their health and fitness journey. The new Galaxy Z series and Watch8 series aim to raise the bar by seamlessly blending design, engineering and powerful AI to elevate everyday life and adapt to users’ unique, multi-faceted lifestyles.

Australian launches and activations

Samsung also launched its brand-new Samsung Experience store at Westfield Mt Gravatt in Brisbane, on Friday, July 25, furthering its commitment to offering customers an enhanced shopping experience, both online and offline.
Joining seven other large format stores around the country, the new Samsung Experience Store gives visitors a preview of Samsung’s latest products, with 192 square metres dedicated to showcasing the full Galaxy range. The store offers customers the opportunity to get hands on with and purchase everything from smartphones to tablets to wearables, including Samsung exclusive colours and products. Visitors can even try on cases and accessories on their existing devices.
A true experience store, the space includes a designated learning area that will run regular sessions by Galaxy experts and guest hosts, offering attendees a deep dive into various topics, including Galaxy’s cutting-edge features. There is also a dedicated Customer Service area, where customers can get one-on-one assistance with their devices and onsite repairs.

The launch of the new Galaxy Z series and Watch8 series is also backed by a bold, nationwide integrated marketing and communications campaign designed to connect with consumers across every touchpoint.
Samsung’s latest innovations will be hard to miss, with the campaign spanning digital and social media, TV, BVOD/SVOD, video, display, strategic publisher partnerships, creator collaborations, PR, and more than 1,300 out-of-home (OOH) placements. These include Samsung’s iconic panels at Sydney’s Broadway and George Street, and Melbourne’s Emporium, as well as full ‘Station Dominations’ at key commuter hubs – Parramatta and Central in Sydney, and Southern Cross in Melbourne. Making a striking entrance, the campaign also features the first-ever 3D-enabled takeover at Southern Cross, along with over 140 newly upgraded displays.
